Each year, I create a range of textile pieces and tree dancers designed especially to sit happily within Fortnums Christmas World. This season , my textile characters are inspired by the theatre of Christmas, characters include a Nutcracker, A Drosselmeyer hare and a Christmas Hound…

Dandy Dog
A rather dapper gentleman, all dressed up in his Christmas finery…His white wig harks back to 18th century London, when wig shops would have been on every corner…And imagine a chorus of “For he’s a jolly good fellow…” ringing through the air at midnight, as he makes his way home to bed, candle in hand…having made Christmas special for all the world…
Nutcracker Hare
A curious little character from the mysterious world of Drosselmeyer, he’s a magic maker with a gentle heart and a kind soul… rich in tradition and nostalgia, and ready to wander through his very own winter wonderland… It is the most wonderful time of the year, after all. Ho Ho Ho.
Herr Hare
A dashing and bright prince with harlequin trousers and satin ribbons galore. Made for tales of music and merriment, ready to dance through all your Christmases to come. A very merry man, and a jester at heart…
